For Programs

A teacher leaving and an empty room are the same problem.

CalmCare is the training and the app that make good work visible — so staff feel seen, families feel heard, and people stay. Priced per program. Families do not pay.

This work should stay good

Most programs lose people the same quiet way.

Somebody does excellent work and nobody sees it. She stops mentioning it. A parent meets her replacement, then the replacement's replacement, and stops recommending you. A space opens and does not refill. Money gets tight, so cover and training are the first things cut — which is exactly what makes the next person leave. Nobody experiences this as a loop. Everybody experiences it as bad luck.

The loop runs the other way when the work is visible. Staff who are seen stay. Families who keep a familiar face stay and refer. Full rooms pay for the wages and the cover that keep staff. CalmCare teaches the skill and gives you the app that performs it every day.

Which program are you?
Studio

A home studio or family child care home

Up to fourteen children, you and one or two others. Everything a licensed home program needs to run like a professional one — updates, plans, the paperwork, and the training for whoever joins you.

Center

A daycare or preschool with a team

One licensed site, a director, floor staff, families at the door twice a day. The director console, the playbooks, the monthly numbers, and the onboarding pack a new hire does in week one.

Network

Two to five sites under one owner

One playbook every site confirms, a director per site, and a network view that tells you whether the current site is full enough to open the next one.

Camp

A summer or seasonal program

Twenty counsellors hired in June, sessions that start and end, families who need to hear how the week went. Built for a team that is not there every day.

What a program gets
1

CalmCare Connect — the app

Daily updates families remember, weekly plans with a Friday reflection, handover between people who won't see each other, versioned program guidelines every team member confirms, a team file with certificates and experience days, attendance and billing. Families join free.

2

CalmCare Academy — the training

Short guides in the shape of a shift, not a semester. For floor staff: the handover, the hard pickup, the child who bites. For whoever runs the program: hiring for temperament, the one-to-one that isn't a telling-off, what to do when a parent complains, why good staff leave and the three cheap fixes.

3

The monthly review — the method

A four-step cycle borrowed from regulated industry: capture what each child needs, design the care that meets it, deliver and observe, review monthly. It is how a standard survives a founder not being in the room — and how a second site runs like the first.

Your people

A path they can see

Every guide read, every guideline confirmed, every in-house milestone earns a point on a path from new hire to lead to director. A yearly career check-in asks where each person wants to be in three years — so you can support it, and keep them for those three years.

Your families

They hear it from the child too

A two-minute end-of-day circle — one thing I did, one thing I liked, one thing I want tomorrow — captured in the child's words and sent home in the update. Children feel heard, and parents hear it from them, not just from an app.

Your paperwork

Audit-ready, not audit-anxious

A compliance calendar for the recurring items, a drill log, and a licensing-visit checklist you can tick through in an afternoon. CalmCare is not the licensing authority — it just makes sure nothing surprises you.

Pricing

Per program, not per child. Training included. Families free.

Most childcare software charges a base fee plus two or three dollars per child, then sells the training separately. CalmCare is priced per program so a full room never costs you more, and the Academy is included for every team member at every tier.

Studio

Founding programs: free during the pilot

Up to 14 children and 3 team members. Full Connect, Academy for everyone, the studio onboarding pack, and the compliance calendar.

What we don't claim

Honest limits, written down.

CalmCare is not accredited, not state-approved, and does not issue training hours or certificates. It is not a curriculum — yours stays yours. It is not a licensing authority. And none of it beats a wage gap: if a program pays meaningfully under the market, that is the first fix, and we will say so before we sell you anything.
